I recently completed a PhD at the University of Leeds in the School of Media and Communication. My project combined the work of Adorno and Wittgenstein in order to investigate the censorship of animal violence in British cinema. Prior to studying for the PhD, I completed my MA in Cultural and Critical Theory at the University of Leeds in 2017 and I received my BA(Hons) from the University of Brighton in 2016 studying Philosophy, Politics, and Ethics.
I am currently working at as a Research Assistant for the Centre for Human Animal Studies at Edge Hill University, and I am working as an Associate Researcher at the University of Leeds.
My research interests include critical animal studies, the philosophies of Adorno and Wittgenstein, film, censorship, and political economy.
